Download iCal FileThe 2023 Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship, is a 4-week summer program running from July 7 – August 4, 2023. Twelve exceptional student leaders of color will be selected to conduct a comparative study of social justice leadership in America, South Africa, and Ireland.
All eligible students who submit an application qualify for a $1,500 scholarship toward any CIEE summer, fall, or spring program through summer 2024.
How the application support works:
- You are required to submit a video, answering 4 questions for your application
- Ideally, we recommend that you write your answers out first, and e-mail it to us at sao@uic.edu so we can proofread and edit before you visit the application support session
- In the session, we will work with you to record your video (with the edited application answers) and ensure that you showcase confidence and a clear delivery
