SUMMARY:Population Health in Ireland Info Session
DESCRIPTION:Join Professors Krista Jones and Amanda Sperry to learn about this incredible opportunity to study Population Health in Ireland this summer! The info session will be conducted over Zoom.    This 6 credit elective course is intended to introduce students to the concept of community as a health system, and to the roles and responsibilities of health and social professionals in population health. Students will complete a comprehensive assessment of the community of Dublin to identify health risks among the population, service and resource limitations, and current methods of health information. Students will also explore how differences in health care systems, culture, policy, and environment impact population health through clinic, community agency, hospital and cultural experiences in Dublin, Belfast, and Galway.
