About
Shreya is a Peer Advisor in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Illinois Chicago. She works with students to explore global opportunities, connect their academic goals with study abroad experiences, and navigate the application process. She believes that studying abroad can broaden perspectives not only academically, but also culturally and personally, and she is passionate about helping students find the right program for their journey.
Shreya is a third-year Kinesiology major who has studied abroad twice during her time at UIC. In Spring 2025, she participated in an exchange semester at University College Dublin in Ireland, and in Summer 2025, she joined the faculty-led Sports and Society program in Sydney, Australia. Through these experiences, she developed a strong interest in global perspectives on health, lifestyle, and culture, and she hopes to inspire others to seek out similar opportunities.
As a Peer Advisor, Shreya looks forward to guiding students as they plan their own study abroad adventures, whether that means choosing a semester program, exploring short-term opportunities, or finding scholarships to make it possible.
