About

Anthony is the Assistant Director at the University of Illinois Chicago’s Study Abroad Office. He oversees a portfolio of exchange, partnership, and direct enroll study abroad programs that comprises most of western Europe as well as Oceania and Canada. Anthony also works with faculty out of various UIC colleges and schools to develop and coordinate short-term faculty-directed programs in a broad span of locations including Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. He also oversees the Study Abroad Office’s pre-departure orientation and reentry/reintegration programming and strategy.

 

Prior to joining the Study Abroad Office at UIC, Anthony worked with IES Abroad, a third-party study abroad provider organization, where he assisted hundreds of students with their preparations to study abroad in Rome, Siena and Milan, Italy as well as Quito, Ecuador. Anthony also has experience serving as on-site study abroad Student Affairs staff at Loyola University Chicago’s John Felice Rome Center in Rome, Italy, which is also where he studied abroad as an undergraduate. He majored in Italian and has an academic affinity for the Italian language, Italian literature, and Italian history as well as deep interests in international literature, economics, world history, and education abroad.His professional interests include faculty-directed programming, higher education finance/business operations, international partnerships, and marketing. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at UIC.
