Learn about the Education, Globalization, and the Child in Brazil Summer 2025 study abroad program, which is open to all UIC students.

Discover Brazil through the lens of education and childhood in the "Education, Globalization, and the Child in Brazil" study abroad program. Explore how globalization shapes learning environments in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro by visiting schools, engaging in workshops with local students, and participating in cultural excursions like a graffiti tour of São Paulo's iconic Batman Alley neighborhood and a Capoeira workshop. You'll also experience iconic landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Don't miss this opportunity to broaden your global perspective while immersing yourself in Brazilian culture!
During this information session, you will have a chance to meet the faculty director, study abroad advisor, and learn more about the coursework and activities the program includes. We'll also discuss funding resources.
