Don’t Cancel Class – Invite the Study Abroad Office!

The UIC Study Abroad Office is excited to partner with academic units to incorporate international education and/or intercultural-related content into existing courses. Additionally, some SAO staff members are certified in intercultural assessment tools and can facilitate an assessment and related debriefing with your class or group.

Some examples and ideas include:

  • Providing an overview of international education/study abroad opportunities into a first-year seminar class
  • Developing a tailored presentation for a specific discipline offering intercultural considerations and highlighting relevant study abroad opportunities
  • Presentations about intercultural competency development and leadership within a global context
  • Delivery of the Intercultural Development Inventory assessment*
  • Delivery of the Culture Compass assessment*

*These assessments have a modest per participant fee. Contact the Study Abroad Office to discuss.
