About
Aubrey serves as the Study Abroad Advisor in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She collaborates with a team of international education professionals to inspire UIC students to explore new opportunities, gain global perspectives, and grow through studying abroad. Aubrey is an excellent resource for students who are interested in studying abroad but would like a more personal connection with students when learning about what options are available for them.
Aubrey is a transfer student from a local community college in the northwest suburbs where she received her associated in arts and elementary education. She is in her fourth year at UIC and will graduate in Spring 2025 with a bachelor’s in Human Development and Learning. She hopes to use her degree to learn more about where she fits into the international education field with an emphasis on providing polar experiences to certain demographics. Aubrey had participated in the First Year Flames Abroad program in the summer of 2023 and 2024 as both a student and a student leader. She has also participated in the Education, Globalization, and the Child program, which allows students to learn about the education system in Brazil. She understands what it is like trying to dive into student life in the later part of her academic career being a transfer student and loves to help students do whatever they can to achieve their study abroad goals in the time they have at UIC!
