About
Esteban serves as a Peer Advisor in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Illinois Chicago. Working alongside a team of international education professionals, he helps students explore global opportunities, discover their potential, and become well-rounded global citizens through travel and unique experiences. Esteban is an excellent resource for students interested in studying abroad, offering guidance on the process, program options, and scholarships tailored to their goals.
Originally from Ecuador, Esteban completed his first two years of undergraduate studies at Universidad San Francisco de Quito before transferring to UIC in the Fall of 2021. Now, in his senior year, he’s majoring in Architecture with a minor in Finance. Esteban is actively involved on campus as a member of AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students) and LARES (Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services Program), demonstrating his commitment to networking and meeting students from diverse backgrounds.
With a post-graduation goal of obtaining a graduate degree in Project Management and becoming a certified architect, Esteban is well-equipped to assist students in finding study abroad programs that align with their academic and professional aspirations. His international experience includes a high school exchange program with Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, which enhanced his English proficiency. Having traveled to over 30 countries, Esteban is passionate about helping students discover their potential and become global learners through unique travel experiences.
