Learn about the new Summer 2025 study abroad program that is open to all UIC students interested in learning Spanish in Mexico City.

Dive into Mexican history, culture, and art, where you’ll earn 6-7 UIC credits while immersing yourself in the vibrant language, art, and advocacy in Mexico City! This interdisciplinary program offers you coursework in Spanish language and a unique cultural course that highlights the works of Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, and other renowned Mexican muralists, while also addressing contemporary issues such as migration, gentrification, and sustainability. Discover how these themes shape current forms of social engagement in Mexico today.

During this information session, you will have a chance to meet the faculty director, study abroad advisor, and learn more about the coursework and activities the program includes. We'll also discuss funding resources.
