Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME) Online Summer Program

UIC is pursuing a partnership with Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education. BSME is offering a tuition-free online summer program for students for Summer 2021. BSME is designed for those interested in the learning and teaching of secondary mathematics. BSME participants explore the Hungarian pedagogy, in which a strong and explicit emphasis is placed on problem solving, mathematical creativity, and communication. The online Summer 2021 program is being offered for free, although students will have to pay a small registration fee to reserve a spot in each course. If students are interested in receiving a transcript from BSME to try and transfer credits into UIC, then there is a fee, however, if students are only participating for the experience and knowledge then the program is otherwise tuition free.
